About This Program


Single-use medical device (SUD) reprocessing is a prime example of a CQO and sustainability initiative.   Reprocessing, or remanufacturing medical devices)  delivers cost reduction, quality medical devices, and proven patient care outcomes. FDA-regulated commercial reprocessors help hospitals responsibly use resources, achieve cost-savings, and promote environmental sustainability.

Our Speaker


Adam Robinson, Senior Commercial Director, Cardinal Health


Adam Robinson is the Senior Commercial Director of Cardinal Health's Sustainable Technologies, Single Use Device Reprocessing business where he overseas sales, marketing, field service, customer logistics, and business operations functions.  Prior to working at Cardinal Health, Adam worked within healthcare sourcing and vendor management for nine years at two Harvard Academic teaching IDNs, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Partners Healthcare System. In addition to managing reprocessing contracts and relationships, his primary responsibilities included leading cross-functional value analysis teams consisting of materials management, contracting, nursing and physician leadership to drive cost savings for clinical and physician preference products. Through his work with the value analysis teams he delivered and documented demonstrable cost and utilization reductions, completed numerous product evaluations and implemented complex product conversions for surgery, radiology, endoscopy, and pain management departments.

Adam has sat on numerous councils and committees both within an academic hospital setting as well as nationally within group purchasing organizations, and is currently the sitting Chairperson of the Board for the Association of Medical Device Reprocessors. He has coauthored two supply chain cost reduction publications, presented nationally on the topic of robotically assisted laparoscopic surgery education, and has been cited in healthcare supply chain articles published by Healthcare Purchasing News, The Wall Street Journal, and Modern Healthcare.

Adam earned his Finance-Economics Bachelor of Science Degree from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
